Frequently asked questions
How often should a PV system on Mallorca be cleaned?
It depends on the location, surroundings and tilt of the panels. On Mallorca, due to Calima, dust and long dry spells, one or two cleanings a year often makes sense. We're happy to look at your situation individually.
Can't I just clean my solar panels with a garden hose?
Hard tap water can leave limescale marks and soiling is often only partly removed. We work with treated pure water and suitable brushes to clean the sensitive surfaces gently and thoroughly.
Do you use cleaning chemicals?
As a rule we clean with treated pure water and without aggressive chemicals. If something else makes sense in an individual case, we agree it with you beforehand.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
Not necessarily, as long as access to the system and a water connection is possible. We clarify the details in advance, easily via WhatsApp.
What happens with a hard-to-reach roof?
For pitched roofs, additional safety requirements or hard-to-reach systems a surcharge may apply. Send us photos – you'll receive your price before placing the order.
What happens after a strong Calima?
After strong Calima events we plan regional special tours. Solar Care customers can then have their system cleaned at a reduced price.
